One of the special tourist attractions of Malaga, party town of Costa del Sol, is it's vibrant nightlife. The nightlife filled with live music in Malaga centre is beyond comparison, especially during summer when local residents and foreign visitors party all night. If you are in Malaga, the live music performances of Peter Edgerton will surely delight your day with his genre of acoustic folk/pop music.
Peter Edgerton hails from Liverpool, England, a city that takes pride in music. Peter is especially adept at playing acoustic instruments. When he had learned to play the guitar at eighteen, he started to play cover versions in different bars. There's no turning back for Peter since then because he went on to become a successful songwriter and stage performer in different folk clubs. Peter has also been a peripatetic teacher of musical composition to children aged 5 to 18.
A career change came about when Peter decided to live abroad. He went on to live for 6 months on the West Coast of Canada. However, he felt that Spain would be a perfect destination so he settled in Malaga. While in Malaga, Peter taught English for 18 months. He decided to leave teaching when he became successful at playing live music at night in the bars.
Today, he does musical performances every Thursday from eight in the evening from April to September in Malaga, Spain. His live music fills the air of Cheers Bar outdoor terrace, Plaza del Obispo. Cheers Malaga is just across the famed Malaga Cathedral, a top tourist spot in Malaga.
Peter began recording some of his original songs on an 8-track recorder at home. The recording made M80 interested in him. He has also made some appearances on "La Gramola" with Joaquín Gúzman. The income generated from the recording also enabled Peter's second C.D. entitled "On An Ordinary Night" to be recorded in a professional studio. Peter's latest recording was entitled "Gold and Amber" on Chortle Records.
Peter's latest songs include Shine Your Heart, Light in Malaga and Faith Don't Fail Me Now. If you want to see a recorded musical performance of Peter Edgerton, you can watch this video.
